Home Construction (Day 46 - September 17)

Big day today, on two important items - the dreaded Green Card Interview for us, and also the completion of the siding on our Uchi.

The GC interview went way way smoother than what we thought it was going to be.  Everyone else had made it seem like it was going to be an interrogation, or something we had to prepare for, mentally and spiritually and psychologically...  but in fact it turned out to be a quick 10-15 minute chat with a nice lady in an office.  No hard questions.  PHEW -- one big load off our shoulders.

This leaves one other liiiiittle thing on our to do list...  THE HOUSE:   (Uchi, sorry)

Hi, old friend.  Looking good!  But still has a little bald spot!  : (

Even a giant Russian is nothing compared to this Uchi.
He was challenging the Uchi to a staring contest, and he lost.

We now have some sort of utility box on the outside here, behind the garage,
and I'm not sure right now what it is exactly.  But it's making strange noises,
and every 15 minutes it's laying an egg in the ground...  what?!
Actually it's been there for a while, and we just noticed it now.
