Home Construction (Day 30 - August 25)

They finished the pillars of our porch today. The pillars are more sturdy than previous ones. Oh, and before I forget - I asked Jeremy (our field manager) regarding the broken pillar, and it turned out that one of the heavy construction machines accidentally knocked over the pillar, so they had to build a new and bigger one.

They completed the windows on the front of the home except the one above the garage:

Now the electrical outlet is done and packed neatly (second day of wiring)

They also added wires for the garage doors and the outside garage lights. It's hard to see the wires sticking out in this photo, but they are there, up at the top of the garage doors, above the "CENTEX HOMES" logo:



Remember all the outlets in the kitchen walls? They have added the wiring:


See now, each of the outlet has wires - looks really complicated and dangerous:




Seems they've finally completed the main floor wiring -- and it's really nice that they didn't leave a mess this time! There is a big frame inspection this week, so they have to be done with the wiring and plumbing by then:



Our ceiling lights for the kitchen are done too. We requested 6:


They cleaned the mess on the second floor:
